The Temple of Artemis is a large ancient temple built in honor of Artemis. The temple is located within the boundaries of the ancient city of Ephesus near the present-day Selcuk district. It was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

There are different sources provide different information regarding the construction date of the temple. According to some sources, it was built in 550 BC and destroyed by fire in 356 BC. It was later rebuilt in 323 BC by the order of Alexander the Great. The temple was one of the largest temples in ancient Greece and was in use from the 7th century BC until the 4th century AD.

The temple was 115 meters long and 46 meters wide. It had 127 columns and was two stories tall. The upper story contained statues, decorations, and altars. The temple was an important architectural structure and was considered one of the largest and most magnificent structures of its time.
